For the past eight years, Kelsey has been a seventh grade math and history teacher at Chelsea School District. Other experiences include being an after-school teacher in Port Huron working with at-risk youth and a long term substitute at Our Lady of Good Counsel, 5th and 6th grade. The greatest teachers in her life were ones who truly cared for her as a person and pushed her beyond what she could see in herself. In the end, those teachers inspired her to pursue a career in education through which she can inspire and serve. She is excited to join the school to establish a culture which leads its students closer to Jesus, both in academics and service to others. Family time takes up most of her free time, but she also enjoy cooking, baking, reading, playing games and biking.
